Community Involvement

Self Storage Plus is proud to actively support our local communities. We demonstrate our support of community initiatives by participating in or sponsoring local events and by donating storage space to charities within our communities. We have recently assisted the following organizations:

Keys for the Homeless

We procure no longer needed goods and supplies from hotels, restaurants and other concerned businesses, and provide these items, at no cost, to those living in poverty. We accomplish this through the generosity of contributors, the dedicated work of our volunteers and through our partnerships with organizations providing homeless services in the Greater Washington, DC Metro area.

Boy Scouts

The Boy Scouts of America provides a program for young people that builds character, trains them in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and develops personal fitness.

American Special Hockey

Created in 2000 for players with developmental disabilities, the American Special Hockey Association (ASHA) gives people of all ages and abilities a chance to learn and grow by playing hockey. There are currently over 50 ASHA programs in more than 30 cities throughout the United States.

United Way

United Way improves lives by mobilizing the caring power of communities around the world to advance the common good.

Trips for Kids

Trips For Kids® (TFK®) has opened the world of cycling to over 124,000 at-risk youth since 1988 through mountain bike rides and Earn-A-Bike programs. The over 80 Trips For Kids chapters we support combine lessons in confidence building, achievement and environmental awareness through the development of practical skills, and the simple act of having fun.

Rotary Club

We are neighbors, community leaders, and global citizens uniting for the common good. With you, we can accomplish even more.

Chantilly Youth Association

CYA has been the cornerstone of the Chantilly Community for over 40 years! Offerring 12 sports with over 13,000 annual participants, it’s likely every home in the greater Chantilly region has something in it bearing the CYA Logo. From that drawer full of old CYA Uniforms to the Purple panneled basketballs roaming our neighborhoods seemingly on their own looking for kids to play, the CYA "Purple" is everywhere! Just try wearing a Purple T-Shirt to any youth sporting event in Northern Virginia and see if anyone has any doubt as to where you are from.
