Here at Self Storage Plus we make sure all your questions are answered either here on our FAQ page or in person at any of our storage facilities with our self storage customer service. Here are a list of frequently asked questions we commonly run into:

  • How many storage facilities do you have?

    We have 53 storage facilities in total. Our facilities can be found in the states of Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, and Florida

    • How do I pay for my storage unit?

      Our advanced online bill pay makes it easy for you to pay wherever and whenever. Simply select which location you have your belongings in, click Pay Online, sign into your account and pay your bill!

      • What size storage unit will I need?

        Self Storage Plus offer a variety of storage unit sizes. Depending on how many items you need to store and how big they are, our storage size guide can help you determine what size storage unit you need.

        • Do you offer vehicle storage?

          Yes, we do have storage for any of your vehicles. Common vehicles we see people store with us are cars, motorcycles, RV’s and boats. Call for more information and availability.

          • Are you storage units climate controlled?

            Yes, our storage facilities offer indoor climate controlled storage units. Check out our climate controlled storage page for more information.

            • Do you offer any specials for your storage units?

              Yes we offer monthly specials for each storage facility. We also show appreciation towards our military personal by offering a military discount.

              • What time are your storage facilities open?

                Our storage facilities are open 7 days a week. Our gate hours for your storage units are Sunday – Saturday: 6:00am – 10:00pm. And our front office hours are: Monday - Friday: 9:30 am - 6:00 pm Saturday: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm Sunday: 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

                • How can I stay up to date on your storage news?

                  You can take a look at our blog or follow us on Twitter and Facebook. Follow us and stay up-to-date and learn more about our moving and packing tips.

                  • Do you offer moving services?

                    We do not offer moving services, but the store manager can help offer recommendation. Please give us a call.

                    • What is my gate code?

                      Gate codes are unique to each customer and are assigned at check in. For assistance with your code please contact your store manager.

                      • Do you sell boxes and moving supplies?

                        We offer a variety of boxes, tape, bubble wrap and packing paper. Please give us a call so we can get you exact prices for your needs.

                        • Do you have storage unit auctions?

                          We post our auctions on www.storagetreasures.com

                          • When can I access my unit?

                            You can access your unit 7 days a week during our gate hours from 6am-10pm. As long as you have your gate access code.

                            • Can I access my unit on holidays?

                              Yes, you can still access your unit during holidays from 6am-10pm. As long as you have your gate access code.

                              • Do you require insurance?

                                Yes, Insurance is required. We offer four levels of coverage limits under the Program: $3,000, $4,000 or $5,000. Monthly premiums are $12, $14 or $16, depending on the policy limit you choose.

                                • Do units have electricity?

                                  Our units do not have electrical outlets.

                                  • What is the cancellation policy?

                                    We ask that you provide written notice 10 days prior to the end of your lease term.

                                    • What happens if I pay late?

                                      We try our hardest to keep you notified of when your rent is due and if and when late fees will occur. If you are having trouble paying your rent please contact your local office.

                                      • Do you require a deposit?

                                        There is no deposit required however, we do require an administration fee.

                                        • What happens if I am locked out of my unit?

                                          Please see store manager, or call your stores’ phone number for assistance.

                                          • Do you offer referral discounts?

                                            Already a customer? Refer a friend and receive $25 towards your rent!
