Al was absolutely amazing! He took excellent care of me throughout my visit. Greeted me at the door when I arrived, showed me different units since I was unsure to compare sizes, and I was able to select the best unit for my business needs. Checkout was smooth & fast! I was able to move in immediately! When I contacted customer service I specifically requested to be at this location because of the outstanding performance and assistance I received in the past! When I got my unit, in December 2024, it was $39/month. Now, November 2025, $92/month. Just got a notice that to keep up with a competitive market, my rates were increasing to $131/month. I checked all the local storage units in Raleigh, and the average for a 5×10 is about $50/month. Also, the gates are constantly left open so the place is NOT secure. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE FOR STORAGE. Expect a bait and switch that is justified by “current market rates” which is bullshit. If there isn’t an active class action lawsuit for this, there may be soon.

The WORST storage company to go with. Customer service itself for the company is fine but if you live in Raleigh and go to the one on MILLBROOK RD. Reconsider!!! Manager acts like the money you pay for your storage goes directly into her pocket. They don’t send out any emails claiming that you’re behind on your storage until it’s too late and theirs a LEIN on it. Then they want to send out emails and answer phone calls when NO ONE answers on a daily basis when you try to check the status of your unit. The district manager is NEVER near the phone. Not even sure if she’s a real person. Had 3 different people try to contact her on my behalf, on 3 different dates and times, including myself, no one EVER got an answer. They don’t accommodate to what life throws at you, like not getting paid while on maternity leave and not being able to pay your storage. Instead, there’s “nothing they can do” but to start selling your stuff by Christmas ? so no. This company is not people oriented. All about their money. Called to ask a question and before I could even let them know that I won’t be renting with them next month out of CURTESY she hung up so quick. So, I will not be letting them know but knowing them they will charge me anyway and I CANNOT WAIT TO SUE IF THEY DO

UPDATE: I semt an email to the email the new owner put under my review and it has been completely ignored. At this point, anyone affected by their bad business practices should file a complaint with the NC Attorney General’s Office. This is a class action just waiting to happen. I have not been notified about ANYTHING at all since they took over. The 4.9 ratings are from the previous company, Extra Space, NOT Storage Plus. This facility was sold without any notice to tenants. The new management is HORRIBLE. I’ve had TWO unscrupulous rent hikes of more than 100.00 this year. My 10×20 unit is being raised to 315.00, while new the site advertises 140.00 for nrw customers. I have a second unit thay they ate rasijg to 248.00 tjst is advertised for 100.00 for new customers. The rates I am eing charged are far over the market rates in the area. DO NOT RENT HERE. THEY WILL RAISE THE PRICES AFTER 2 MONTHS IN EXCESS OF 100.00. It’s the old bait and switch tactic. I have not even signed ANYTHING with this new company amd they provided no information or guidance about account set up, how things are handled with the new company, etc. I dont wven have ab agreement with this place. My agreement was with Extra Space. I will be filing a complaint with the Attorney General for unfair business practices. In addition, it’s supposed to be a secure facility, but as the previous tenant noted, the gates are always broken and anyome can enter. The representative in the store doesn’t seem to have the best customer service attitude. DO NOT RENT HERE. Save your money and go somewhere where your business is valued.

There is new management now and they are absolutely terrible. Doubled the rent with 2 weeks notice and canceled my autopay without telling me. Then locked me out of my unit after I didn’t pay because the auto pay was turned off without notice. The service is absolutely terrible. Lady at the front desk is completely useless and she is apparently the manager.

TERRIBLE! I am stuck with an emergency and the office is closed during business hours and no sign in the door. I called customer service and they connect me with the district manager who never answers her phone or returns any messages. The back gate doesn’t even close and you can walk into the automatic doors – no security code – so anyone can literally walk in and break your locks. This business acquired extra plus storage and they also increased the rest significantly. The customer service is also useless… they literally can’t comprehend the solution beyond their script.
