For the most part everyone was helpful. I would advise not to go too close to the end of the workday for the office folks. They can get a bit snippy. I witnessed Bryce not giving the best customer service, his tone of voice and shortness left a lot to be desired. Also, if you don’t get there before 6 pm during the week or 4 pm on the weekend, you won’t get to use a cart. That policy is a bit unhelpful since the business is open to the public until 10 pm…and they only have a handful of carts. Lastly, if you don’t pay attention you will miss the entrance and be forced to drive around the world to get back…don’t do this during rush hour, you will be upset! They really need a better sign citing the entrance and exit.

They raise their rent prices much faster than inflation, so you must move around like a nomad to keep the cost under control. I provided my insurance repeatedly and they kept ignoring it and billing for their own insurance. Office hours are unreliable and the restrooms and carts are locked away. It’s relatively clean but the elevator smelled like urine once, probably because the restroom was closed.

In the beginning everything was fine, but as time went on the conditions didn’t stay the same, but got worst. First the door to get into the elevator lobby was broken and has been for months, then once you get in from the further door, the elevator has been out of service for again, months. Most of the staff has been helpful for the most part, the one member I have interacted with recently, not only was he on his phone the encounters that we had, but his was less then helpful, and even acting annoyed that I was asking him questions. Then, the security gates have been broken to get into the ‘secure’ parking area, which doesn’t making a good feeling for the security of the storage facility. Lastly, after saying all this, they Self Storage Plus company has raised the rates, to almost triple what we began at which has forced us to find different storage options.

This place needs to be looked into. They have a rodent problem. There were tons of rodent droppings on the ground of our unit space as well as on our actual belongings. There are always a wet spill of coffee or unknown substance on the floor of the elevator; when it does work. Why does one elevator have a code to it on and the other one doesn’t. Why does the Security alarm go off every few minutes, but no one actually comes to check to see what the hell is going on? About two weeks ago now, My mother-in-law, my husband and I went to go put some things in our storage unit and when we returned from vacation to return something’s; to our dismay and utter surprise my husband saw that his very important/ expensive computer monitor and PS five were stolen from our unit! He knows exactly where he left it because it would be no reason for him to move it out of the storage unit because we are in between locations right now. We always double check and make sure that we lock our unit when we leave. While stay at the unit; We called first and asked if there were cameras on our unit or had anyone used our code to get in between the dates we were gone. They said yes to there being cameras and that they did not know if anyone had entered the building using our code . We then were question on if someone else had our code which the only people that have the code is really my husband and mother-in-law. Nobody else not even me. We asked if it was possible that anyone had had similar complaints. And of course they said no this is the first that they’re hearing of someone possibly breaking into a unit that was locked. ?We were told to file a police report and also to come down to the front desk and file a complaint, we were told that we could not have access to the cameras to see what happened Between the time we took some of our belongings and brought Sid belongings back. They said that they would “look into it” and see if the cameras were even working that day. They would review and see what they can do but for the most part it was out of their hands. The customer service of the front desk was very accusatory, Matter of fact toned and no empathy towards the fact that things were actually missing from our unit that cost hundreds to thousands of dollars. I will repeat I am angry for yes majority of the reasons above but for the fact that we paying near to $300 to house our belongings and you can’t tell me anything, you can’t give me access to anything and you yourself don’t know what’s going on there.

DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT USE THIS FACILITY!! IF I COULD GIVE THEM NEGATIVE STARS I WOULD!! First of they have a mice/rat infestation that has taken over everybody unit. Customer service is horrible. You go to the front to ask a question, nobody has an answer. They just give you a brochure and tell you to call a number to file a complaint or a claim. They recently had a fire and didn’t notify me until 2 weeks after it happened. The elevator has been broken for months causing you to use another on the other side. They never have any dolly’s available. The light on the second floor ahs been out in the hallway by my unit for 2 months now and every time I inquire about it, the lights have not been delivered. I have officially moved all my items out of the unit and filed a claim to be reimbursed for my furniture and clothes that were destroyed due to the mice infestation. Now lets get to the price gouging that this facility has been doing. every other month there is some type of increase of price for whatever reason. You can’t even keep a decent bright light outside of my unit or a working elevator to get me upstairs to my unit, yet the price is raised for what?? I have added a video of the nest the mice have created in my couch. Its horrible here. DO NOT PUT YOUR BELONGINGS IN THIS TRIFLING FACILITY!!

I am writing to express my profound dissatisfaction with the service and condition of my storage unit and the property as a whole. I obtained this storage unit less than seven months ago, and I have recently noticed a price increase of $30 with absolutely no prior notification-no call, text, or email. This unannounced increase is unacceptable, especially given the lack of corresponding improvements or communication. Furthermore, there have been no improvements to the property to justify this increase. Since I began my tenancy, the elevator has only been operational twice, being broken every other time I have needed to use it. When attempting to use the stairs, I was unable to find clear instructions on how to access the exterior staircase, and a rat in the stairwell chased me back outside. This raises significant concerns about both accessibility and pest control. Adding to these issues, upon my initial arrival at the property, the right-side main door was already broken, forcing me to walk around to access the elevator. This continuous lack of maintenance and communication has made my experience extremely inconvenient and unsatisfactory. I request an immediate explanation for the unannounced price increase and details on how these ongoing maintenance issues, particularly the elevator and pest control, will be resolved. Please do better!

Awful experience at this storage place. I booked a 10×15 unit and after waiting 10 minutes for the staff member to open it, the unit I had reserved was completely full with rubbish. After waiting another 10 minutes to be rebooked, the staff member could not find another unit of the same size and tried to charge me another $150 for the next size up. This whole process ended up taking 40 minutes and cost me a significant amount of extra money with the movers due to their incompetence. Do not book here.

I have a couple of concerns with this storage facility. One, the fact that rental prices can be increased at anytime just two months after I signed my lease while still advertising deals and some of the lowest rental prices in DC is unsettling. There is no reason that the same rental unit should ever increase $100 if I can go online and see the same prices that I initially signed up for still being advertised, just feels greedy because it did not increase by a minimal amount. Two there are indeed mice in the unit leaving feces all over my belongings, I have chronic asthma and that is detrimental to my health. Which in my opinion should most certainly warrant an increase or discounted rent ALWAYS. Lastly the employees being so quick to deadlock your unit but not being just as quick to unlock it is a huge problem for me. I have been two days late paying and found my unit locked waited a week to return after paying and the lock was still there and nobody was in the office to take it off. I notice the “owner” responding to some of these reviews claiming to care about concerns and issues so I hope you read this one and understand that most people have storage units because they have fallen on hard times therefore a constant increase in rent does not show that your company cares in the slightest about its renters just money.

My experience was marred by several significant issues that I feel obligated to bring up. First and foremost, the facility was filthy. The presence of mice was evident, which is not only unsanitary but also poses a risk to the stored belongings. In addition to the unsanitary conditions, I was also disappointed to find hidden fees that were not disclosed during the initial rental process. Furthermore, the elevators were frequently out of service, making it difficult to access my unit, and several storage unit doors were broken, compromising the security of the stored items. The lack of available carts further compounded the inconvenience of moving items in and out of the unit. Finally, I was dismayed to find that the price of my unit increased unexpectedly during my rental period.

This storage facility is terrible! They overly charge, a bunch of hidden fees, and unreasonable policies. In addition the place smells like roaches. When I go to pay my late bill. I want to pay online or via phone. Due to the fact that 1) I had no transportation and 2) I was very, very ill but needed to pay this bill by this date. I was told I had to physically come in to pay the bill for what reason I do not know besides the fact that my bill was late and you had to pay it in person. Not sure what difference that makes but I had to ultimately pay $40 just to go and pay the bill while I was sick. I was just able to go to the counter, Pay the bill and get an Uber back. I did not have a car or a reason to go visit the unit at that time. After a few days, I check my email to review the confirmation email. Which to my surprise, says that I needed to come into the office to take off a blue lock that was placed on my unit and if I did not physically come in to take off the blue lock that they put on, I would incur more fees.. I have paid past bills before and they simply restored my unit back to the way it was. Never was I told that there was an additional lock that needed to be removed and that I could incur further fees. Secondly, what sense does it make to put a lock on my unit. I pay to restore access to my unit. You keep the lock on my unit and then tell me I have to drive to the space, take the lock off that you put on the unit., come to the office, put the lock in the Dropbox and put my lock back on the unit so I won’t incur more fees. This is the most assanine thing I’ve ever seen in my life, and it is only a way to stupidly, grossly and greedily acquire more money. I would never refer someone to this storage location.And now quite honestly my experience has put a bad taste in my mouth for self storage plus is anywhere.
